The Cognitive Security Institute

What is Cognitive Security?

Humanity is currently experiencing a phase transition in its relationship with technology and with itself. This transition will impact every aspect of our lives. The interconnection between people from distant parts of the globe will continue to present new opportunities and challenges. Technologically mediated communications make the challenge of determining truth from fiction difficult at best and impossible at worst. The ability to project force from remote parts of the globe are giving rise to new dimensions of security.

The Cognitive Security Institute contemplates how these new and emerging threats to security will influence information processing systems (human and artificial) at multiple scales. We are building a community dedicated to defining what cognitive security is, conducting research on relevant factors, and exploring solutions for this problem space.
